Through my image-making, I have found ways to explore experiences that are much more than just what's on the surface. Bringing my background of working in the darkroom into this curious way of digital image-making, I'm able to really transform my previous perceptions of photography into something bigger. In these images, I focus on the fluidity of perception, experience, and how we bring it all together into a tangible form. Exploring the liminal spaces and the transformations of the self they offer. I am digging down into my own perception of reality and coming back with something less apparent but still familiar in its representation. Each image has the ability to push the boundaries of what a photograph can be through experimentation. Trusting in these translations of my experiences, I am allowing the viewer to temporarily dive into something more vulnerable and intense than they have seen before.
