Kelsey Ianuzzi
Kelsey Ianuzzi is a multidisciplinary artist based in Birmingham, AL. Her creative practice incorporates diverse mediums and commonly explores the following themes: identity, memory, process, metamorphosis as certainty, the joy and conflict of human experience, natural interconnectedness, and the ordinary made marvelous. She has merged photography into her practice for over a decade as a means of investigating recollection and our human desire to document, while confronting the tension of universal ephemerality, deterioration, and transformation. In her practice she hopes to balance extreme specificity and personal significance with actively unpredictable processes, introducing elements out of her control as a means of coping with and celebrating change.
