My current practice explores the materiality of the photographic medium and its process within the darkroom. Using both the material and process in an unorthodox manner allows me to explore the possibilities of creating abstract works. This in turn allows the photographic material to live in its own material existence without having to be tied to the depiction of our reality. In this series of work the resulting images are created from a chemical reaction taking place between the subject matter and the paper's chemistry depicting the emanations left behind.
